Prayer for the Holy Father

O God, Shepherd and Ruler of all the faithful, look with favor upon your servant Pope [Name] whom You have appointed pastor of Your Church. Grant that by word and example he may assist those whom he serves so that the shepherd and the flock entrusted to his care may together attain everlasting life. We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
